How BRIDGE works
BRIDGE is a benefits operating system for veterans and their families. It reviews what you have earned first, identifies what may be worth exploring, and only then discusses optional coverage.
Our order of review
- Earned federal benefits you have already qualified for through service.
- State and public programs that may apply to your household.
- Association benefits included with NVBA membership.
- Optional private coverage — last, and only where a gap was identified.
How BRIDGE makes money
BRIDGE does not charge veterans for benefit reviews. Where a member chooses optional coverage through a licensed advisor, standard commissions may be paid by the issuing carrier. That never changes the order of review above.
What BRIDGE is not
- Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Not a government agency and not a claims representative or accredited VSO.
- Not an insurance carrier — BRIDGE does not issue coverage or determine eligibility.
Accuracy and eligibility
Eligibility for any government benefit is determined solely by the applicable agency. BRIDGE presents information for education and points you to official sources for verification.
BRIDGE is a platform of the National Veterans Benefits Association. NVBA and BRIDGE are not the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, Medicare, or any other government agency. Government benefit information is provided for educational purposes. Eligibility and benefits are determined by the applicable government agency.
Insurance products are subject to carrier availability, eligibility, underwriting where applicable, policy terms, exclusions, limitations, and state requirements.
